SPMSA has been proud to offer the Because We Can Program over the last decade. This year we are excited to partner with Sherwood Park Baseball to continue to offer programming for some very important athletes!
Please feel free to share this information!

Please mark this in your calendar and plan to attend:

Challenger Information/Registration Night
Location: The Log Cabin, 50 Spruce Avenue, Sherwood Park
Date: February 28th, 2018
Time: 6:30 to 8:30 pm.

Sherwood Park Minor Baseball and Sherwood Park Minor Softball are joining together to provide this program for the Sherwood Park and Strathcona County kids.

Challenger Baseball is an adaptive baseball program designed specifically to empower children and youth living with cognitive and/or physical disabilities. Attached is an information sheet that outlines the program in more detail and has links to information on websites about the program.

We will be holding an Information/Registration night for Challenger Baseball in Sherwood Park (see attached information). If you have a child that would be interested in the program, It is important that you plan to attend on this night as we will be providing 1) an update on what has been happening with organizing and planning for Challenger this year and 2) a formal registration for the program. In addition, there are some items that need to be decided and SPMBA wants to consult with you, the parents, about these issues so that we ensure that we make the program as beneficial as we can for your child.

We currently have 22 names that have expressed interest in the program. We are still looking for anyone else who wants to attend. We don’t want to miss anyone. Please pass the attached letter and poster(s) to anyone who you think would be interested and who would be in a position to spread the word. It is our intent to take anyone who is interested in the program. This registrations is crucial as it will give us a good idea of what resources we require, how the program will be delivered and help us secure funding from various sources for the program. This will help us ensure that the cost is free to you for the program.

Thanks. I look forward to seeing you on February 28th and as always, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me.
